SAP Business One reports and dashboards.

In shortKodenova builds the reports and dashboards SAP Business One does not give you out of the box: Crystal Reports layouts for documents such as invoices and delivery notes, Crystal management reports, saved query reports in Query Manager, Power BI reports on SAP Business One data, and web dashboards. Every report is written for both SQL Server and SAP HANA, reads data without writing to it, and is checked against the figures your team already trusts. Fixed price per phase, 3 months of free post-go-live support, and the client owns the report files, queries and documentation. Kodenova is independent and works alongside your SAP partner.
What’s included

What we build.

Crystal Reports document layouts

Invoices, delivery notes, quotations, purchase orders and statements laid out the way your company needs them, with your logo, fields, languages and legal text.

Crystal Reports management reports

Sales, purchasing, stock, receivables and finance reports with parameters, groups and totals, ready to print or export.

Query reports and Query Manager

Saved queries for the questions people ask every week, written once and tested on your data, with a clear parameter prompt for each.

Power BI reports

Power BI reports on SAP Business One data, read from read-only SQL Server or HANA views or from the Service Layer, with a data model that matches how your team talks about sales, stock and money.

Web dashboards

Browser dashboards with KPIs, charts and drill-down on your own fields and UDFs, for people who do not want to open the SAP client or a report tool.

SQL Server and HANA versions

The same report written for SQL Server and for SAP HANA, with the differences (quoted names, functions, text joins) handled in the query, not left for the user to find.

Read-only views and report performance

Read-only views or queries that hold the joins, so reports stay fast and simple, with filters and speed checked on a copy of your database.

User rights and safe access

A read-only database or SAP user for reporting, and report access matched to who may see what, so a report never shows more than the person is allowed to see.

Checked against your figures

Totals compared with the SAP Business One screens and standard reports that your finance team already trusts, with each difference explained.

Process

How a project runs.

  1. Discovery: a free call and a list of the reports and layouts you need, who reads each one, how often, and which numbers they must match.
  2. Specification: fields, filters, groups, totals and examples written down for each report, with a fixed price per phase.
  3. Build: queries or views first, then the Crystal layout, Power BI model or dashboard, on SQL Server and on HANA where both apply.
  4. Weekly demos: you see the report on your own data every week, not only at the end.
  5. Checking: totals compared with SAP Business One screens and standard reports, and key users test with real filters and edge cases.
  6. Go-live: report files, queries and views installed, access set up for the right users, and short documentation handed over.
  7. Support: 3 months of free support after go-live, then optional monthly support.

Crystal Reports, Query Manager, Power BI or a web dashboard?

Use Crystal Reports when the output is a document or a fixed-format report: an invoice, a delivery note, a statement or a printed management report. Use a saved query in Query Manager when people need a list or a total on screen and may export it. Use Power BI or a web dashboard when people need to look at trends, filter and drill down across many records.

Most companies use a mix. We start from who reads the report and what they decide with it, then pick the lightest tool that does the job.

Can I try a SAP Business One dashboard for free first?

Yes. Our free dashboard builder runs in your browser. All five modules (Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Receivables and Finance) work on demo data without an account, and Sales also works on live SAP Business One data for free. Live data for the other four modules is part of Pro, currently in beta. It reads your data through a small free connector that runs on your own PC and uses read-only queries.

If you need a dashboard on your own fields, UDFs or rules, that is the custom work on this page.

Will my reports work after a move to SAP HANA?

Reports built on plain tables usually only need to point at the HANA data source. Reports with SQL commands, stored-procedure sources or saved queries contain T-SQL, which must be converted to HANA SQL and compared with the SQL Server output. You can try the conversion on a single query with our free converter, or hand the whole move to us.

Who owns the reports and queries?

You do. The client owns the Crystal Reports files, Power BI files, queries, views, dashboard code and documentation after each paid phase. You can maintain them with your own team or your SAP partner, or ask us to keep supporting them.

FAQ

SAP Business One reports and dashboards: common questions

Can you change the layout of our SAP Business One invoice or delivery note?

Yes. We build Crystal Reports layouts for documents such as invoices, delivery notes, quotations, purchase orders and statements, with your logo, fields, languages and legal text. We test them on real documents, including long ones that run over several pages, before they are installed.

Do you build Power BI reports for SAP Business One?

Yes. We build Power BI reports on SAP Business One data, read from read-only SQL Server or HANA views or from the Service Layer, whichever suits your setup and size. Power BI licences come from Microsoft as usual. If you only need a few KPIs, a web dashboard is often lighter and we will say so.

Is the free dashboard builder really free, and does it show my live data?

It is free to use. Every module works on demo data without an account, and Sales also works on your live SAP Business One data for free. Live data for Purchasing, Inventory, Receivables and Finance is part of Pro, which is in beta. Live data goes from your Service Layer to a connector on your own PC and then to your browser; nothing is uploaded to Kodenova.

Do your reports work on both SQL Server and SAP HANA?

Yes. We write and test each query for the database you use, and for both if you are planning a move. HANA needs quoted mixed-case column names and different functions, so a query that works on SQL Server is not automatically correct on HANA. Our free converter helps with single queries.

Can a report write to or change SAP Business One data?

Reports and dashboards are read-only by design. They use read-only views, queries or a reporting user, and they never create or change documents. If you need to post or update data, that is an add-on or an integration, which is a different piece of work.

Is Kodenova an SAP partner?

No. Kodenova is independent and works alongside your SAP partner. Your partner keeps the licences and the SAP Business One system; we specify, build, test and support the reports, queries and dashboards.
